Rosa is honoured to have been elected by her peers as the first woman

Chinese International Art Biennale (02/08/16)   Rosa   has   just   returned   from   China   after   being   asked   to   be   Chairman   of Judges   and   open   the   first   China   International   Childrens   Art   Biennial   in Beijing.   The   other   judges   were   Boris   Lysikov   from   Russia,   Gosia   Herba from   Poland,   Rose   Lecompt   from   France,   from   China   Li   Zuwang,   Yichun and the sponsor Ma Jingyao. The    organizers    selected    the    exhibition    from    over    10,000    entries. Luckily   the   International   judges   selected   the   winning   entries   from   the final   150   paintings,   which   was   a   hard   task   in   itself   as   the   standard   was exceptionally high. Whilst   in   Beijing,   Rosa   also   held   Masterclasses   for   students   at   the prestigious   ‘Enjoy   Art   Museum’   in   the   948   Art   District.   “It   was   an amazing    experience,    the    welcome    from    the    Chinese    people    was unbelievable,    they    made    me    feel    like    Royalty.    On    arrival    at    the exhibition   I   even   had   the   red   carpet   treatment   and   a   beautiful   bouquet of flowers presented to me”. There   was,   however   time   for   some   fun   and   sightseeing,   if   you   can   call climbing    the    Great    Wall    of    China    in    a    temperature    of    41    degrees Celsius   and   waking   up   at   3am   to   go   and   see   the   raising   of   the   flag   in Tiananmen Square, fun. Click here  for photographs of the visit. Chinese International Art Biennale (08/06/16)   Rosa   is   delighted   to   have   been   asked   to   be   Chairman   of   Judges   at   the forthcoming Chinese International Art Biennale in Beijing in July 2016. Elected Vice President (08/06/16) Rosa   is   honoured   to   have   been   elected   as   Vice   President   of   The   Royal Institute   of   Painters   in   Water   Colours,   the   first   woman   to   be   elected   to this   position   in   the   history   of   the   organisation.   (Pictured.   Rosa   Sepple VPRI wih President Andy Wood). Leaving the SWA (15/09/16) After   much   deliberation   Rosa   has   decided   to   relinquish   her   membership to   the   Society   of   Women Artists.   Over   the   past   seven   years   the   society has   gone   from   strength   to   strength   and   she   is   honoured   to   have   been   a part   of   its   rich   history.   She   have   made   many   friends,   met   fellow   artists, and   enjoyed   some   truly   memorable   times.   She   is   very   much   lookng forward   to   following   the   SWA   on   its   journey   ever   upwards,   under   the leadership of the current President, Sue Jelly. “Thank you and my best wishes to all the members.” Making a mark (15/09/16) Thank   you   to   Katherine Tyrell   for   the   wonderful   review   of   Rosa’s   recent exhibition.
